We headed out towards the north on a Friday and drove as far as we felt comfortable. The next day we continued on to Riisitunturi National Park for a walk in the snow.
This is a “table of Tapio” – a mutated spruce that mostly grows horizontally. Some centuries ago they have been used as sacrificial site for the king of the forest, Tapio.
