Today marks the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings in Normandy. Last autumn we had a chance to visit the area and we explored both Omaha and Utah Beaches. Here Ramin and the boys are making their own landing on Omaha Beach just below the cliffs from the American cemetery and under the watchful eye of several remaining German bunkers. Experiencing the length of the beach and the distance from the water to the bunkers underlined the descriptions of the veterans who experienced first hand.
