Viime viikolla Jalon ontuminen paheni entisestään ja saimmekin perjantaiaamulle päivystysajan eläinlääkärille. Edellistä parempi röntgen varmisti ajatuksissamme hiljalleen kasvaneen pelon. Jalolla on ainakin yksi isokokoinen kasvain oikeassa lapaluussa. Diagnoosi: mitä todennäköisimmin osteosarkooma, eli luusyöpä.
Jokaisen flätin omistajan pahin pelko ja rotumme kirous iski suoraan päin näköä.
Jalo sai reseptin erittäin vahvalle kipulääkitykselle. Siitä huolimatta viikonlopun aikana ontuminen on pahentunut ja yleistilakin heikkenee nopeasti…

That’s the horrible disease that took my sweet golden retriever Spenser last February. I am so sorry for all of you. Jalo has brought so much joy to his fans and his family. I will keep Jalo in my prayers. This is heartbreaking.
